will enumerate what i have been doing these past couple of months
- attended a birthday celebration once every two weeks (july/august definitely takes the cake - pun intended - for "most family members born within a two month period")
- saw friends from way out of town - from the caribbean and san francisco
- have seriously started studying for the gre's. this time it's for real. it's not fun discovering you're stupid. i totally forgot geometry. but i think i'm doing better with my verbal stuff. i definitely know more words than from four weeks ago.
- started volunteering for the national building museum. met at least five people already. so far i'm keeping up with my new year's resolution.
- working on my portfolio. i've re-designed a previous project. it's not any easier the second time around.
- applied for the idp (intern development program...ie. step one to become a registered architect). being an architect takes lots of time and money. A LOT OF MONEY. dang...i'm gonna be sooooo poor by the time i go to grad school. but i see it as an investment to myself. it's a good thing. investment + me = good = good = good. repeating it makes it real. hahaha
- saw little miss sunshine. by far the best movie i've seen this year. i definitely recommend that you get yourself to the nearest theater and watch it. soooo freakin' hilarious!
- stressing out over the submission of permit drawings for building construction...aaargh! the deadline is coming
